Amazing experience. Great family time! Some exhibits let you go inside the train for a closer look and you can learn about the different trains. Inside and outside trains, great picture opportunities everywhere. Fun kid areas and snack area. The employees and volunteers are friendly and seem happy to share what they know.

This is one my boys favorite place from visit, there are plenty of things for adults that enjoy trains, as well as a great interactive play area for the kids.

The santa train was so much fun to ride! It is a fairly short ride, but they have Santa walk through and give out Christmas ornaments. They also have carolers and musicians come through. The seats are very comfortable and move back and forth so you don't have to ride backwards. Great for all ages and handicap friendly.

I really enjoyed visiting these wonderful marvels of history and engineering. Especially the all electric. I’m going to have to start learning the model numbers.

We like it so much, that at bought a family membership and we can go whenever we want. Across the street, there are some old trains that go for short rides, and the scenery is great.

Our family absolutely loves this place. We went once on a whim after taking our kids for a train ride at Strasburg railroad directly across the street, and ended up leaving with an annual membership and we generally visit once a week. They have terrific displays that get updated periodically, beautifully restored engines and cars of different eras, a catwalk to get a different view of them all, a train yard that you can access with upcoming restorations, a rather large area for children with toy trains from wooden Thomas trains to functional scale models, and even a place where children can pretend to be a fireman and shovel 'coal'. I would highly recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in trains (were certainly not aficionados and really started doing 'train things' because our kids like them, but we both found it very interesting).
